Southeastern Technical Divers was founded in 2003 to provide high quality training for people who want to learn more than the usual vacation diver. Our instructional staff has more than 50 years combined experience in scuba diving with an emphasis on "Advanced" and "Technical" diving.

Our lead instructor has been a dive industry professional for more than 10 years, managing scuba shops in the Tampa/St.Petersburg, Florida area. Additionally he also owned and operated Neptune Divers of Weeki Wachee dive resort at Weeki Wachee Springs.

We are based out of Atlanta, Georgia, but conduct training all over the Southeastern United States. We can easily travel to your city or dive shop to perform group training. Or, we can meet you at a destination and conduct all your training on site.

Unlike some instructors who specialize and limit themselves to one or two types of diving, our instruction staff has experience instructing over a wide range of diving environments. From caves to wrecks, reefs to fresh water springs, lakes, and quarries, spearfishing to ecology, still photography to videography, our staff has years of experience to offer you, the growing diver.

We offer Basic Instruction and Advnaced Openwater Training through Scuba Diving International (SDI) . Here our students get a thorough understanding of recreational scuba and the experience to perform most any level of recreational diving.

Our Technical Diver Training is sanctioned by Technical Diving International (TDI). We current offer many levels of training for the technical diver. cavern thru cave, wreck & wreck penetration, as well as, decompression training for air, nitrox, and trimix.

SETD also offers additional training thru the National Association for Cave Diving and Divers Alert Network.
